Adriatic City Security Conference 2018 was held in Split from March 22nd to March 23rd 2018., where today’s announcement of the results of the competition for the best local community security project was held at 9:45 a.m. Winner is DR SHARE project “Disaster Reduction, Standardized Hazard Analysis and Risk Evaluation”, for which Infosistem developed an application that will help the local community executive bodies and civilian defense departments in more effective crisis management.
The total value of the project is € 281,222 and it is co-financed by the European Union funds in the amount of 75%. In addition to the project bearer, Vukovar-Srijem County, project was carried out by partners from Croatia (Agency for Development of the Vukovar-Srijem County Hrast and the State Protection and Rescue Administration), Serbia (Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government of the Autonomous Province Vojvodina, European Affairs of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Posavina County).
The software application developed by Infosistem will provide a quick and targeted response in the event of a major disaster or catastrophe of civil protection at the local and regional level, and enable efficient, rapid and clear use of the available resources and capacity in the civil protection system at the local government level.
Among other things, this application will provide the ability to dimension the required response to the risk, review active and remaining resources in real time, and quickly place mobilization calls and orders. The result of this is faster response time, manageability of available resources, minimizing damage, increased risk tolerance, and most importantly – increased population safety.
The Vukovar-Srijem County together with the experts who were involved in the project made it possible to accomplish it in the best possible way and we would like to emphasize that we are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to develop an application that will contribute to better organization and protection of the local population, and enable better exchange of information on cross-border areas in crisis situations.
